“Zoya” is the perfect little project to use your scraps of cork, vinyl, leather, or fabric. It is put together of strips of fabric and opens fully with a zipper with two zipper pulls. The inside features a zippered coin pocket and a divider, a slip pocket, and 10 cards slot.ink">slots for credit cards or business cards. It is not too hard to make, but may not be the first thing you should sew if you are a total beginner. The wallet is interfaced with rubber foam. I have also used a thin plastic that doesn’t break (like cardboard tends to do) as inserts to make the wallet stiff and sturdy. For the lining, I have used waterproof canvas in combination with a thinner fabric for the card slots and the slip pocket. There are rivets on the little decor strips on the zipper pulls that make it easier to open the zipper.

The Pattern: You can download and print this pattern with two instructions. One version with no photos for cheaper printing, and the other with photos that you can look at on your Ipad or computer as you sew the bag. The pattern comes in a separate PDF. The pattern pieces are color-coded according to the fabrics you use, and there are labels you can cut out to pin to the pieces of fabric you have cut. There is also a material list, telling you what you need of fabrics and hardware to make this bag. There is a cutting list as well, to tell you how many of each piece you need to cut, and in which fabric. There is also a link to where you can buy the plastic I use for inserts.
